April Is Here

It's the first day of spring
at least it is to me

April first is here, finally

Showers rain down instead

of snow

and winter coats gotta go

Warmer weather in the air

 Lunchtime picnics

aren't so rare

Weekend excursions or 

northern hikes

Ditching the car 

for the bike

Pick up games
in the park to play

NFL Draft and Opening Day

 Lovers emotions
begin to bloom

 Long walks to the
light of the moon

Yeah, the first day of spring
is here, finally

Or at least it's the
first day of spring
to me
