Our minds can be monsters
lurking in the shadows
Preying on our vulnerability
and defeating us in battle
The more you're sure you know
The more you won't
recognize it
when
you really don't
It's a catch 22 for the misinformed
Who have formed opinions that can't be reformed
At least they think they can't
but it's a fantasy
brought to fruition
by arrogance and vanity
critical, judgmental,
and rarely seen
until it sabotages
some of everything
So the next time you
think you know it all
Remember the arrogance and
pride that comes before the fall
