The Great Adventure

With breath of fire

I begin my quest

My mind and body

Put to the test

Through ancient beauty

and modern ways

I face the demons

and the snarls they lay

For peaceful warrior

with vulnerable soul

and pyrrhic victories

are to be avoided on the road

As I bend and stretch 

and I strengthen and move

This inner journey

 is never smooth

But it's worth the effort

and I always come back

To the great adventure

here on the mat
