The Day That Was No More

The day that was the day no more
I knew it walking out the door

The connection that had lit the spark
had come undone and left it dark

And as the darkness filled the air
A sense desperation was everywhere

But not for me I heard it coming
In the beat of insecurity steady drumming

It Signaled war's approaching doom
It sucked the life right out the room

But that's when I knew, I was meant to soar
So as I unshackled the chains and as they hit the floor

I felt a freedom I never felt before
It hit me deep, down in my core

and for once, we both realized the score
For it was the day the was no more
