Do we still need a Black History month
Or do you think we're just doing too much
Twenty eight days just to explain
Why we're more than the devil's last name
Is it fair or even right
That we glorify our ancestors for their harrowing fight
Against enslavement, brutality, terrorism, segregation
Separate but equal, mother fucking discrimination
But they say that doesn't exist any more
and that the past is gone
So in the memory of our brutalized kin
Can't we all just get along
And get with the program, you know, anti DEI,
Anti-our history, our culture and embrace your lies
Well, melting into the pot that the kettle called "black"
Is an insult to our ancestors
And straight up wack
So your attempts to erase
us will simply be ignored
And we will continue to create
today, tomorrow and forever
more
