  Thank you for always being there    When we didn't know what we thought we did

You had wisdom to spare

Firm yet gentle,  loving but tough

When the world was kicking our ass,  you said," Never give up"

Or give in cause bad times never last

 To make sure we learned from the mistakes of the past

 You taught,  "Know your worth"   Never let your dreams be deferred 

To remember action always speak louder than our words

But deeper still you helped us to see

That we weren't what the enemy portrayed us to be

 You said hold your head high but stay humble of heart

That our features weren't abominations, but works of art

Because of our minds, you said, there was nothing we couldn't do

Thank you, we're grateful for the community of you
