Look At Me

Look at me what do you see
my hair, my skin, my ethnicity

Which I wear with pride
For my ancestor fought and died

So I could be free
Not a piece of property

Or less than I am
This warrior, this man

More than flesh and bone
Not a boy but a grown

Man
Who can

Make his own way through life
Love his woman or his wife

Endlessly
with his soul,
till,
Eternity

 So don't underestimate
or sleep
on the full weight

of the blessings that were
bestowed
on
me

By my creator
Yes his prophesy

Is the rise
of  the being
I am inside
