BUT LOVE.......

SAY IT

DO IT

LIVE IT

BE IT

FOR LIFE IS SHORT

BUT  LOVE...... LOVE IS LONG

IN GUNS WE TRUST

I did not create nor own the illustration

In guns we trust

The god of fear

In case a Civil War whispers sweetly in our ears

But all lives matter, of course they do

Unless you're unarmed and Black then we gotta' back the blue

Nevertheless, it's not all about race

We're just standing our ground

To keep our streets safe

And though sometimes a "bad guy" may cause a mass scare

We have the 2nd amendment and, of course

thoughts and prayers

Angel Fly High

Angel, fly high

  Earned your wings last night

(I do not own this pic)

Angel, sing sweet

As we fall fast asleep

You will take to the sky

Tears well in our eyes

Cause you go far away

Will you return if we say

Angel fly high

Angel, can we say goodbye

Angel, of brown skin

Will our hearts ever mend

(I do not own this pic)

Angel, We cry

As your sweet voice fills our mind

And you take to the sky

 Tears well in our eyes

Cause you go far away

Will you return if we say

Angel, fly high

Angel, can we say goodbye

Lift Every Voice

Lift every voice and sing

Till warrior with angel wings

Join in the harmony

of victory

Fire of truth in our eyes

Deserving of virtuous allies

For only the unbound control their destiny

Sing a song filled with the pain that the dark past has brought us

Sing a song filled with fight that our ancestors taught us

The face of the rising sun conquers the unrighteous ones

Let us march on for unity brings victory

In The Image Of

Pic -The Gift of Black Folks -W E B Dubois

Hair like wool  Feet of bronze

Face a blinding sun

In the image of the most high

comes

Creation

From the motherland

To the offsprings  of nations far and wide

Tribal rhythms fill the air

Flames of fire eyes

In the image of   an intoxicating love

Hypnotic as ocean waves

Healing power, soothing songs

Souls forever saved

The Community Of You

I do not own the rights to this pic

Thank you for always being there    When we didn't know what we thought we did

You had wisdom to spare

Firm yet gentle,  loving but tough

When the world was kicking our ass,  you said," Never give up"

Or give in cause bad times never last

To make sure we learned from the mistakes of the past

You taught,  "Know your worth"   Never let your dreams be deferred

To remember action always speak louder than our words

But deeper still you helped us to see

That we weren't what the enemy portrayed us to be

You said hold your head high but stay humble of heart

That our features weren't abominations, but works of art

Because of our minds, you said, there was nothing we couldn't do

Thank you, we're grateful for the community of you
