The Fiery Horses

Seven Fiery horses run across the winter sky

Heaven's daily ritual unfolding before my eyes

So with alacrity and vigor, coursing through my veins

I yelled out rather brazenly, " Stop! Tell me your name!"

But instead the flames rose higher, their steady pace increased

A trail of possibilities were left smoldering by the beast

This left me quite bewildered, even angry by the slight

But the luminous, lady lunar bend my ear that very night

She assuaged my restless slumber with her lyrical lullaby

singing

"The fiery horses were opportunity, so tomorrow, don't let them just pass on by"

Blue is

Blue is a calm, soothing, light

That suits my demeanor, day

and night

Blue is as endless as the sky

or the robes of the angels

Who live on high

Blue is as deep as the sea

and oceans of thoughts

that wash over me

Blue is bluesy as a BB King song

It's steadfast, reflective, intelligent

and strong

Blue is lasciviously yearning for 

enough

Divine, hard working and royal in blood

Blue symbolizes happiness and

 an intent to be true

It's a confident , healing, light

the color I favor is blue.

I Meditate

I sit in the quiet of my mind

Racing thoughts their movements fading with time

I breathe in the rhythm of life

No time for manifestations

of petty squabbles, pain or strife

I am relaxed, in a calm, soothing, flow

The meditative vibrations of my voice

frequency low

I am owner of my space

Where the ease of equanimity

resides all over my face

I am in deep meditation

and it's an amazing revelation

As Unstoppable As Water

As Unstoppable As Water

Salt water combined with air

crashing, calm, unfavorable or fair

Storms or sun are an inevitable fate

But, no dominion over the natural state

Pure, powerful, as vast as the sea

plunging like waterfalls in love with gravity

Supremely designed like ripples to wave

Rhythmically hypnotic 

Captivating the gaze

Imperfectly perfect

no judgement or fuss

The greatest wonders of the world

are people like us

Flawed and foolish

filled with promise unfulfilled

But unstoppable as water

flowing down a hill

Rise, from the silent mind

Rediscover. It's healing time

Breathe, into complexity

For what ails, it's the remedy

Feel ,the body moving through

painful barriers of old and new

Stay, though you feel unsure

patience is how you find the cure

to be

Sweat, running down your brow

You're on the path, the way, the tao

Expand, evolve, grow

For Egotism is a formidable foe

Create, with a will and a plan

Destiny in the palm of your hand

Old way of thinking

never let you be

Open to the realm

of possibility

Head full of yolk

 judgement of words

Disastrous Chances

Vision blurred

Afraid not of greatness

Tame the mind

Educated fools

  dozens for a dime

Deluge of words

come spilling out

The intellect whispers

just shut your mouth

Once More

Voice says shun, evade, shirk

Body says not ready to put in the work

Mind says over think this and that

Routine says just drag your ass on the mat

Path says I'm rocky, vague and unclear

Soul says warriors are never detoured by fear

Journey says upon faltering feet

we still endure

Practice says yoga has seduce me once more
